Tahir Aydoğdu

Born in Istanbul in 1959. He received his first qanun lessons from his father, Gültekin Aydogdu, a famous qanun artist. He joined Ankara Radio in 1981. He graduated from the Department of Physics at METU in 1983. Aydoğdu, the educational aspect of his artist's personality, from 1987 to 2001 was a Teacher of the METU Music and Fine Arts Department and headed the METU Classical Turkish Music Choir, and gave many concerts to many students, for which work he was awarded the "2001 METU Honours Award". He also served as Director of TSM for TRT Ankara Radio from 1997 to 2000, and worked as a lecturer in the Music Education Division of the Faculty of Fine Arts Education of the University of Gazi at different dates.
