A GLOBAL QANUN MASTER
A GLOBAL QANUN MASTER! A pair of hands wandering over the Qanun, without forgetting the knees on which it was born, in order to make a bundle of experiences more permanent; 32 albums recorded with different groups and artists with a beating heart for man and nature; and his first solo album called "HASRET"... Concerts, seminars and conferences at home and abroad... An experienced physicist and a graduate of Middle East Technical University (METU), an academic artist who transformed his knowledge into the book "QANUN METHOD"... We first met Tahir AYDOĞDU with the MODERN FOLK TRIO group that was formed in the 1970s.
Later, he appeared with his work in the ASIAMINOR group, which was formed in Ankara in 1990... We have
heard him in the magical rhythms of Qanun in the Modern Folk Trio Group and in the jazz works of
ASIAMINOR. He has been a guest on both radio and television, thanks to his continuing work as a Qanun
artist at Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) ANKARA RADIO, which also served as the conservatory he
entered in 1981... Concerts at home and abroad with the group "From SUFI to FLAMENCO", which he founded in
1999, and two albums resulting from these concerts...
Turkish Classical Music Concerts at home and abroad with the GÜL-İ ZÂR TURKISH MUSIC ENSEMBLE, which he founded in 2004 with the participation of some artists from TRT and the Ankara State Choir of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and of which he is the Artistic Director... Despite his young age, he has already given concerts, workshops and lectures, conferences and seminars in more than 60 countries around the world, from America to Japan, from Russia to China... A total of 32 ALBUMS, of which 27 have been published domestically and 5 in 75 countries... The first METU graduate artist to receive the "METU APPRECIATION AWARD" from the METU Senate on 25.5.2001...
The concerts of the group "TANİNİ TRİO", which was founded in 2005 together with the ney artist Bilgin Canaz and the pianist Burçin Büke, and the albums they released under the title "Dokunuşlar"... An artist who was awarded the 2005 SOCIAL FAIR-PLAY AWARD MEDAL OF HONOR in the "COMMUNICATION" category by the Turkish National Olympic Committee on 9 May 2006... The second artist to perform the Qanun Concerto by FERİD ALNAR, a valuable artist of the "Turkish Quintet", who introduced the Qanun to the world at home and abroad, apart from its composer... "INTERNATIONAL QANUN FESTIVAL and SYMPOSIUM", which he held as GENERAL COORDINATOR, the first one in Istanbul and Ankara in 2012 and the second one in Ankara in 2015...
